Though the exact cause is unclear the developer behind Cyberpunk 2077 has claimed that it’s currently looking into the issue. Cyberpunk 2077 has been years in the making with the teaser trailer dating back to as far as 2013. After years of hype and anticipation, CD Projekt Red released the game on December 10, 2020, though the release date was pushed forward several times following a number of production issues....

Cyberpunk 2077 has had nothing short of a concerning year. Starting in January of 2020 and continuing throughout the year due to COVID-19 restrictions, CD Projekt Red would announce multiple delays, eventually pushing its newest game into a December release and miss any shot at a Game of the Year nomination. And despite word in 2019 that CD Projekt Red would disavow required overtime, mandatory crunch time was implemented. However, according to anonymous employees, developers had already been working nights and weekends throughout 2020, so the six-day workweeks weren’t necessarily a surprise....

To the dismay of many, Cyberpunk 2077’s launch was a disaster, with plenty of gamers reporting issues when playing on last-gen consoles. However, the developers have been hard at work releasing updates and patches aimed at improving performance and technical issues with the game. Since the controversial release in 2020, reception to Cyberpunk 2077 has improved, and fans are looking forward to the long-awaited DLC, which CD Projekt Red has assured gamers is on the way....

In a video posted to the official Cyberpunk 2077 Twitter page, Tomaszkiewicz explained that character skills don’t just affect how a player can take down an enemy. Players can “use these skills to discover different paths through the levels, to discover different options in quests,” said the developer. These skills can be modified as players go through the game, explained Tomaszkiewicz, who also said that there would be a “big variety of different skills” to choose from....

In Cyberpunk 2077, if players visit their character’s home, the Easter egg is found with relative ease. Those who recall the three seashell joke from Demolition Man will already know where to find it, too. If players go into V’s bathroom, they’ll find a shelf next to the toilet where toilet paper would typically be, but instead there are three seashells on the shelf. This is a direct reference to a very popular scene from Demolition Man....

Imagine taking the world of The Witcher 3 and all of its rich content, and then “deleting the wilderness between” is how Borzymowski describes it. Speaking to Games Radar at Gamescom 2019, Borzymowski goes so far as calling Night city a “protagonist” of Cyberpunk 2077 because the city is packed “full of life.” Suffice it to say, to have open spaces in Night City would be antithetical to what CD Projekt RED is trying to make with Night City....

This news comes just before PAX Australia, where Cyberpunk 2077 is expected to make an appearance, making it a great opportunity to prime fans for another announcement. With another six months before the game releases, CD Projekt Red still has time to trickle out information and features and keep excitement high. In the video, the November 2017 reveal that Cyberpunk 2077’s engine was up and running is mentioned, but further developed by a source at Sony stating that it has received a PS4 test demo of the game. This bit of information suggests two things: the game is in a somewhat playable state, and it may be playable on the PlayStation 4. However, just because information suggests it is in a playable state, this does not mean a release will occur soon....
