At the recent Cyberpunk 2077 Night City Wire event, the developers showed off an impressive new story trailer along with some new gameplay footage. The official social media feeds have also been teasing the details for some of the upcoming NPCs from the game along with the six districts of Night City that players will encounter. In the first hands-on gameplay demos it was discovered that player would be able to choose from three backstories for the main protagonist, V. These prologues start the player in three very different areas and give a taste for what is to come in Cyberpunk 2077’s expansive map.

Night City’s six districts range from the slums to the corporate upper class. The latest reveal from the Cyberpunk 2077 Twitter explores the region of Westbrook, which is considered to be the best place to live and have fun in Night City. The concept art shows a range of sleek, abstract, wealthy living areas and invites players to ‘come here to spend the eddies, if you’ve got them.’ It also seems if players don’t have the cash they can take out a loan in order to join the party.

Westbrook is also home to Japantown, which is the epicenter of the wealthy and elite of Night City. As revealed in the prologue, players will have a choice of starting their journey as a Nomad, Streetkid, or Corporate, placing them in three different lifestyles that Night City has to offer. Taking the corporate route will likely lead to more interaction with wealthy districts like Westbrook. Although for those interested in what’s outside the futuristic landscape of the city, the wasteland area known as the Badlands will also be explorable.

CD Projekt Red certainly seems to be heavily focused on the details for Cyberpunk 2077. Despite scrapping bigger features like wall running, the game is paying attention to the smaller interactions, even allowing players to pet cats. The ability to summon and drive cars free-style through Night City will also be beneficial in helping players explore everything there is to see in Cyberpunk 2077.

Cyberpunk 2077 will be released on November 19th for PC, PS4, and Xbox One with PS5, Xbox Series X, and Stadia versions in development.
