While Horizon Forbidden West was released this month, Cyberpunk 2077 also got a bit of a rerelease as its Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 update brought a ton of new features and a patch aimed at ironing out some glitches. Because the title got that massive upgrade, some in the video game industry were treating the game as a kind of new release. One Reddit user decided to combine the best of both worlds by bringing the protagonist of Forbidden West into Cyberpunk 2077.

Reddit user BLACK-_-HAND posted the picture of the character they made using the Cyberpunk character creator where they came rather close to recreating Aloy completely. Even if the user hadn’t pointed out it was Aloy, it’s likely gamers would have been able to recognize who the character was aiming for.

When the poster was asked how they got so close to the iconic look of Aloy, they explained that they had to combine about 20 different mods for the PC version of the game. While they added that they were able to get the hair and face looking very close to Guerilla Games’ beloved protagonist, they couldn’t really find the clothes to use in Cyberpunk. However, other users felt like the outfit the user had gone with matched the idea of the character quite well.

The immersive way in which people can change up the look of characters right down to the finest minutiae has led to plenty of people making their own favorite protagonists in Cyberpunk 2077 over the years. Some of the best of those creations have definitely been people that would seemingly fit seamlessly into the game. That included someone like Overwatch’s Sombra who has a bit of a cyberpunk look already.

Considering the renewed popularity of Cyberpunk 2077 and the continued success of Horizon Forbidden West, it seems as if there might be more people who decide they want to blend the two worlds together. However, considering how much work apparently went into this iteration, anyone else trying their hand at it might be hard-pressed to come up with something that looks better than this particular production.

Cyberpunk 2077 is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
