At the moment, CD Projekt RED hasn’t revealed the official rating of Cyberpunk 2077, but it is worth remembering that CD Projekt RED first submitted Cyberpunk 2077 for rating last March 11, which is about five weeks ago. As for the status of Cyberpunk 2077’s development itself, Badowski reassured fans that despite the worldwide lockdown caused by the COVID-19 outbreak, the team is still working on removing bugs and playtesting the game. Badowsiki remarked that Cyberpunk 2077 “is looking better and better with each passing day!”

In the weeks that have passed since the COVID-19 pandemic began, several video games that are scheduled to release this April and May have since been delayed indefinitely. Some notable titles that have been postponed include The Last of Us 2 and Iron Man VR. As for Cyberpunk 2077, it appears that CD Projekt RED is still confident that the team will be able to deliver the game in time for its September release, especially since developers at CD Projekt RED are working on the game from the safety of their homes.

In a recent investor call, CD Projekt RED revealed how it plans to support Cyberpunk 2077 post-launch. Although the developers did not specify its plans, the team revealed that Cyberpunk 2077 will receive at least an equivalent amount of DLC as The Witcher 3. This means that Cyberpunk 2077 will receive two or more major DLC expansions and countless additional small-scale content such as quests, weapons, armor, and many others.

Of course, it is no secret that Cyberpunk 2077 will be one of the final batches of triple-A games to be released on the PS4 and Xbox One before the launch of the next-generation consoles by the end of 2020. However, CD Projekt RED revealed several days ago that it cannot confirm if Cyberpunk 2077 will have a free PS5 upgrade to players who purchased the PS4 version. On the flip side, players who will purchase Cyberpunk 2077 on the Xbox One will be able to get a free upgrade to the next-generation version of the game should they decide to upgrade to the Xbox Series X.

Cyberpunk 2077 launches on September 17, 2020, for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One.
