Beyond launch, Cyberpunk 2077 players have even more content to look forward to. For example, we know that Cyberpunk 2077 will have a multiplayer mode, though it won’t be in the game at launch. That’s because CD Projekt Red hasn’t even started developing Cyberpunk 2077’s multiplayer mode, instead opting to focus all of its resources on developing the single player experience first.
It’s unclear exactly what CD Projekt Red’s plans are when it comes to Cyberpunk 2077’s multiplayer, so we don’t know if it will be added to the game as part of a free update or a paid expansion. However, we do know that paid expansions of some kind are on the way, with CD Projekt Red comparing them to The Witcher 3’s expansions. For the uninitiated, The Witcher 3’s expansions earned a great deal of critical acclaim at the time of their release, and provided more content than is found in some full-length video games.
