In previous Night City Wire event streams players were introduced to elements like the Braindance which showcased a detective mode that was not dissimilar to that which featured in Batman: Arkham Knight. However, this game promises to be a vast open-world with plenty of immersion, and with that in mind, there is plenty of elements that could be showcased in the upcoming presentation.

On August 10 at 6 PM CEST the next Night City Wire event will go live and the Twitter account of Cyberpunk 2077 has revealed that “lifepaths” will be shown. It is unclear what exactly this feature is, but because of the RPG genre which the game falls into and the choices which had lasting consequences in previous titles like The Witcher 3, it is probably an illustration of how decisions impact the title. The event will also showcase what kind of weapons can be used. This will excite fans who want to know how the first-person shooter mechanics will vary and whether more melee combat will be needed. On top of all of this, there will be a deep dive into a supporting character.
There will also be a focus on “Refused’s transformation into SAMURAI” and this will likely allow players to see how players can upgrade their character by adding machinery to themselves. The transformation piece may also tie in nicely with the illustration of different weapons if these weapons can be attached to the limbs of characters. There has already been talk of a character in Cyberpunk 2077 weaponizing their fingernails so this may be an opportune time to show exactly how character and weapon customization works.
It will be interesting to see whether CyberPunk 2077 can continue to build expectations or whether fans will begin to find flaws in the upcoming title. The development team has said to be trying to reach a new benchmark with Cyberpunk 2077 and with the history of the studio, this could mean that players could be in for a title that satisfies most of their lofty hopes.
Cyberpunk 2077 is set to release November 19th, for PC, PS4, and Xbox One, with a PS5, Stadia, and Xbox Series X version planned for the future.
