Returning players now have access to a bunch of apartments scattered around Night City. Given the two places V already had access to, how do these new apartments compare in terms of looks and quality? Here’s how V’s apartments rank against each other in Cyberpunk 2077.
6 Northside Apartment
Price: 5,000 Eddies
At the bottom of the barrel is this cozy but rundown place in Northside. It’s no doubt the smallest of the apartments and has a distinct red vibe going on. The surrounding area is sort of a motel-style building, which further makes this apartment seem cheap and low quality. On the other hand, due to its size and the clutter, it does have a slight coziness to it. In true Northside fashion, it also has a slight Maelstrom feel going on at the computer station.
Players can interact with an arcade machine that comes with Roach Race in this apartment, but other than that only the basic amenities are provided. As such, even though it’s the cheapest, it ranks lower in terms of appearance and location, even beyond V’s default apartment located in Watson.
5 V’s Apartment
Price: Free, but customizations cost extra
V’s default apartment is found in Watson and is a simple yet somewhat spacious nook. The view is quite nice, but stepping out into the hallway is miserable compared to some of the other apartments. On the bright side, what makes this apartment unique is that players can customize the colors and patterns for a price.

Moreover, this is the only apartment where players can gather memorabilia from their quests, which will further spice up the decor. Completing Nibbles’ quest will also bring the little feline friend into V’s default apartment, so it’s easy to see why this might be better in many people’s eyes compared to the Northside apartment that just lacks space and personality.
4 The Glen Apartment
Price: 40,000 eddies
The apartment in Glen may be among the fanciest in the game and consequently expensive, but it ranks below the Japantown apartment due to the lack of coziness and atmosphere. It feels a bit too barren and modern to really have that nice, cluttered, Blade Runner-style feel that the next apartment has.
That said, it does come with some unique features, such as a pool table and record player that players can interact with. And of course, the massive windows do provide quite an impressive view, but besides that, the apartment lacks the personality that some of the other rentable ones have. However, Vs looking for a quick luxurious upgrade from their default place might like this spot.
3 Japantown Apartment
Price: 15,000 eddies
Despite being cheaper and smaller than the location in Glen, the Japantown apartment has a cramped coziness and that lovely Japanese-style feel that a lot of Cyberpunk 2077 fans might fall in love with. It’s almost what V’s default apartment should have been like, with a unique shape and so much detail that memorabilia isn’t really needed.
This place really gives off some nice cyberpunk movie vibes. Better yet, there are some cool and unique interactions here, where V can play the guitar or burn some incense, which provides positive boosts.
2 Corpo Plaza Apartment
Price: 55,000 eddies
Once V really starts to hit the big leagues, the best upgrade is without a doubt the luxurious apartment found at Corpo Plaza. This place is so fancy that as players enter the building, they’ll pass through a security scan past a receptionist. It gives off menacing Arasaka and Konpeki Plaza vibes and is the best thing any Corpo lifepath player can dream of finding in the game.

There are even more interactions here, with players being able to use a record player and a tea set to drink team, as well as a fancy coffee machine. They can also sit down at the bar counter in the kitchen to smoke a cigarette or drink some whiskey, which further increases the immersion of this place.
1 V’s Penthouse
Price: Free, can be accessed if players choose the Path of Glory ending
No one can deny that the massive penthouse with its own gardens just barely visible from V’s default apartment is the most incredible house V can earn in the game. Located on top of a massive building, some players were able to access this location before unlocking the special ending which has V hit the major leagues and become Night City’s living legend.
The downside with this apartment is that players won’t actually get to use it. Hopefully, in the future, the developers will make it possible for V to have access to this house through a New Game+ feature or something similar. This penthouse comes with two floors and takes a page from the Glen apartment’s style, but is a bit warmer in style and not quite as dark and industrial style.
Cyberpunk 2077 is available on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
