No sooner was “B&B” gone than another Viacom-owned cable channel, Comedy Central, stepped in with an even more offensive cartoon: “South Park.” The series started as a widely bootlegged Christmas video in which Jesus and Santa kung-fu fight to the near death, cheered on by some exceptionally obscene third graders. Cute as buttons and crudely animated by creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone, they’re like “Peanuts” with a bad attitude. They live in a freak-show snowdrift in Colorado where UFOs land, zombies bite townfolks’ heads off and one kid is killed in every episode–the same kid every time. And to think MTV passed on “South Park.” Joke’s on them. Huh-huh-huh.
